Cox attempts to reinterpret and share the moment a tumbleweed moves across the desert by capturing its dynamic movement through a lenticular print. B. Shawn Cox is an artist bound by two responsibilities. First to capture, emote and communicate an idea and then, to transform the chosen media itself as part of the expression. His work offers reflective commentary on social mythology by repurposing iconographic figurative stereotypes in graphic, lyrical, playful, and layered compositions.
